Holey Optochip, Chip Optical From IBM to Transfer Data Up to 1 Terabyte per Second
Recently, a team of IBM researchers have developed an optical chip that can transfer data at up to 1 Tbps (1 Terabit per second). This super-fast chip called Holey Optochip.
This chip offers energy efficiency, Holey Optochip reached a record pace with energy efficiency, Transceiver only consume less than five watts.
