Why Linux is More Resistant Virus

When comparing the two operating systems, among Micr. DenganGNU Windows / Linux, most people / user must answer that Linux more secure against viruses. This is probably also the reason many hosting and webserver computer more convenient to use than the Linux-based servers running Windows Server.
In this paper, we try to explain some of the reasons, why Linux is more resilient and less exposed to the virus. There are at least five main reasons why Linux is more resistant to viruses than Windows.

1. User Privileges
By default, in Linux there is no user is given the freedom to change the file system / filesystem unless root / super user. Only the super user / root who can install software and edit the filesystem. So to be able to install applications or software nor do we have to use a configuration file and have access to su-command.
2. No Executables
Unlike Windows, Linux does not support. Exe files, Linux can not run the file *. Exe. Whereas most viruses spread via computer. Exe file that when we double-click does not realize that it was a worm, trojan or other malware (not our real applications) that can easily integrate and reproduce itself in the Windows filesystem.
3. No Registry
Registry to be the hideout of other viruses, viruses usually hide information in the windows registry. So that when we remove the virus files, the file will be there again, and sometimes the virus file can not be terhapus.Berbeda with Linux, did not have a registry system like windows, only configurations file, and then only with root access can be change it. (Point 1)
4. There is no Internet Explorer (IE)
Internet Explorer is installed automatically in the windows. It was said also that IE is believed to be one big bug windows are easily spread the virus, although we do not use it. Many vulnerability found in IE.
5. Linux is not yet familiar.
Though Linux developers and communities now intensively socialize and make linux desktop linux to be user friendly, in fact, the survey is still a lot of users windows rather than Linux. Linux is not common because the windows like this is the amount of virus in Linux was also minimal. On the other hand, many viruses are created and spread through the desktop rather than server, because virus makers know the security system of the server is always supervised and constantly monitored by an admin.
